Making Progress

Recently Root River Legal Services obtained small business insurance, so we are now a fully insured independent contractor looking to work with law firms on projects big and small.

We are also experiencing a volume of calls for people looking to work with RRLS, but also need the advice of an attorney.  If you are an attorney interested in receiving referrals from and working with RRLS, please contact Maren (maren@rrlsmn.com) .  This is perfect for the attorney just starting out their practice, or one looking to expand their practice into new areas.

By hiring RRLS, you do not need to worry about employment insurance or other overhead involved with having employees.  We are independent contractors that (mostly) telecommute, and use various technologies to get your jobs done efficiently.

Getting Started

Its been a slow start for us at RRLS, as we finish remodeling the in-home office, obtain the necessary software and programming, and develop a great marketing plan.  I invite you to contact us in the meantime if there are any jobs you have that you would be interested in working with RRLS on.  Currently, we have one bankruptcy attorney that is accepting referrals to work with RRLS, but are looking for other attorneys.  For individuals, we can investigate and provide fact finding information for you (e.g. tracing money).

Welcome to Root River Legal Services, LLC.  Founded on frustrations with traditional law firms, the need for flexibility in our lives, and the need for affordable legal services, RRLS is a great option for you or your firm.  We provide reasonable rates to attorneys for “billable” time and administrative time.  Our fee scale can be found on our website.  Hoping to change the way legal services are delivered, we are flexible and willing to work on just about any project you might have.  Most of our work will be done virtually, but we are available for trial preparation, document organization and management, and temporary placements.  We are based out of Rochester, Minnesota but our services can be available nationwide.
